Cava d’Aliga is our new post in the south of Sicily. From this new casa, our guests will be able to discover the coast of the Ragusa province, framed by the stunning blue of the Sicilian Channel.
The house is a former school from the 1940s, one of the first buildings of Cava d’Aliga, a sort of hamlet built for local tourism.
Our garden, full of aromatic plants and wild herbs stretches on the hill that descends to the little bay of Cava d’Aliga. Going down the street to the right, towards the sea, you’ll get a sense of the simple Sicilian holidays of the 50s and 60s, which the many locals sitting by the door of their houses remember very well.
The house is comprised of four rooms with lavatory and a dining and sitting area with a kitchen.
The terrace is the perfect place to enjoy the Western exposure and the long, warm sunsets that are so special in this area of Sicily.
The historical centre of Scicli, and a little further away Modica and Ragusa, are great places for half-day excursions.
